1972 Porsche 911 T Targa 2.4 Olklappe

This Porsche 911 T Targa 2.4 is one of the 1523 produced 911 models with the so-called ‘oelklappe’.

In 1972 a tremendous effort was made to improve the handling of the 911. Due to the 911’s unusual engine placement (rear-mounted, with most of the vehicle’s weight concentrated over the rear axle) early 911’s were prone to oversteer when driven at the limit, and could easily spin in the hands of an inexperienced driver. In an attempt to remedy this, Porsche relocated the oil tank from its position behind the right rear wheel to the front of it. This had the effect of moving the weight of almost 9 quarts (8.5 L) of oil from outside the wheelbase to inside, improving weight distribution and thus, handling.

To facilitate filling of the oil tank, Porsche installed an oil filler door (much like the fuel filler door on the left front fender) on the right rear quarter panel. Unfortunately, this unique design was scrapped after only one year, some say because inattentive gas station attendants were putting gas in the oil tank. The oil tank was subsequently moved back to its original position for model year 1973, and remained there until it was moved back within the wheelbase for the 964 models.

1972 was also the first year the 5-speed gearbox was fitted to the 911 and the only year in which the cars with the external ölklappe were produced.

This example is number 1261, is extremely well restored. The car was completely stripped and repainted from bare metal. The correct type engine was completely rebuild as well, as all the mechanics and electricals. Some photographs of the restoration are available. The exterior colour of this model is orange with a black interior in leather and fabric. Engine 2.4 litre flat 6 130HP, 5-speed manual gearbox.

1959 Aston Martin DB4 Series 1

Chassis number ‘178/R’ is the 78th DB4 made. This car is of the first series, very rare model with no window frames. The original purchaser was Mr B Carlaw of Messrs Carlaw (Cars) Ltd, Glasgow. Originally registered ‘G 25’, the car was delivered finished in Elusive Blue with red Connolly hide interior trim. The second owner was Denton Gilbert, in July 1983. In 1985 the car was purchased by Ian H Moss and the car has seen virtually no use since then.

In 1986 the DB4 was acquired as a going concern by the current vendor, who started restoring the suspension and brakes using parts sourced from Aston Service Dorset. The project was stalled when the owner went to work overseas, and the car has been kept in dry storage for nearly 30 years. In 2013 the car then found a new owner who had it completely restored in our company. Over 350000 Euro on restoration costs were spent over the last 2 years to make the car look this superb.

The car underwent a complete body off nut and bold restoration. Absolutely everything is restored. The underneath is as beautiful as the above. During the restoration the car was rebuilt from Right hand drive to Left hand drive. The restoration is completely documented with photographs.

Finished in the colour Elusive blue with red Connolly leather seats and grey carpets, as it came from the factory in 1959. The car is imported in Belgium and has a factory certificate.

1952 Lancia Aurelia B53 Coupé by Allemano

This stunning Lancia was built in Italy and created especially for the 1953 Torino Motor Show by Allemano. Carrozzeria Allemano had been founded in Turin in 1928 by Serafina Allemano, specialising at first in the repair of cars before switching exclusively to design work in the mid-1930s. This Aurelia coupé is the work of its then resident stylist, Giovanni Michelotti, who has made only one of these, and therefore makes this car one of a kind in the whole world.

Michelotti worked for a number of prominent carrozzeria, most notably Vignale where he was chief designer. His design was brought to life by the panel beaters and craftsmen of Carrozzeria Allemano in Turin. Allemano also fabricated bodies for Aston Martin, Ferrari, Fiat and Maserati.

This Lancia Aurelia B53 Coupé is powered by a 1991cc overhead valve V-6 engine and fitted with a four-speed manual gearbox. The bonnet and doors are made from aluminium, the rest of the body is metal. Unique styling features include twin air intakes flanking the grille, and a dramatic profile that ends with sloping rear wings.

This Lancia Aurelia B53 has been completely restored and is in a beautiful state of finish and detail. It has been kept in an excellent state of running tune and is offered with its original Italian registration plates. In conclusion, a very beautifully restored car that is ready to be enjoyed by his new owner.

The interior is like the exterior; in a very nice condition. The carpets and upholstery are beautiful and the typical speedometer in the middle is nice and functioning as well.
